BREC utilizes a unique combination of expertise in hydrology, engineering, biology, and planning in the practice and science of stream restoration. Our experts employ natural channel design methodologies to restore a stream’s dimension, pattern, and function from a watershed approach. Each of our restoration projects are designed to address specific problems of the watershed while balancing client goals, site constraints and budget demands.

Beginning with project assessment and data collection our team can provide our clients with complete design, permitting, and construction management services. Furthermore, our firm has provided design build services to many of our municipal and private clients. This streamlined process, allows the design team and the construction team to have an integrated approach that accounts for complete control of the finished product.

Our staff has completed all four levels of the Wildland Hydrology Inc, fluvial geomorphology courses. In addition to these courses, staff members have been instructors in a number of stream restoration short courses. Our firms resume includes a diverse set of challenging and complex restoration projects that vary in scope, budget, and constraints.
